PJSC LUKOIL entered the Turkish market in 1998 by starting its bunkering business in the country.
After obtaining a distributor’s license, the Company chose to actively promote its fuels in the retail market. Its first gas station opened in Turkey in 2006, and by late 2007 the total number of gas stations reached 70.
At the end of 2015, LUKOIL’s network of gas stations in Turkey comprised 610 stations. Its share of the retail motor fuel market came out at 5 percent.The Company’s operations in Turkey currently cover the following areas: wholesale and retail marketing of petroleum and gas products, jet fuel, lubes and petrochemicals.

PJSC LUKOIL started its operations in Turkey.
The Company opened its first Turkish gas station.
The Company invested in the acquisition of the Akpet gas station network in Turkey and considerably expanded its market share.

In 2014 – 2015, the Company signed sponsorship agreements with four largest Turkish soccer clubs, i.e. Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş, Galatasaray and Trabzonspor. All fans tanking up at LUKOIL gas stations using dedicated program cards are eligible for a 4 percent discount. Moreover, 2 percent of the paid amount goes to support of their clubs!
In 2014, the Company held the finals of its Lukoil Children's Champions Cup in Istanbul, which is a one-of-a-kind corporate sports project for kids. The event brought together over fifteen hundred young soccer players from 23 countries, as well as soccer stars united under the slogan “Play Against Racism”.
In December 2015, PJSC LUKOIL launched a social project to provide school students from various Turkish regions with stationery supplies, sports clothes and footwear.
This project is also endorsed by various sports clubs and prominent Turkish athletes.
